20. Far Cry 5 (PS4)
Ubisoft's checklist open world formula wears a bit thin in Far Cry 5, but there's still good fun to be had in this fairly dense FPS (especially if you're partaking in some co-op action). The story tackles some interesting themes and it's got a memorable moment or two, while the often chaotic gameplay can be addictive if you can look past the repetition. A solid shooter, all told.
19. A Way Out (PS4)
A Way Out can only be played in two-player co-op, and because it's designed around that restraint, it's an excellent multiplayer adventure. Playing as a pair of convicts, the game takes you and a buddy on a wild ride as they escape from prison and look to get revenge for those that did them dirty. With an interesting story and lots of co-op focused gameplay, this is a great game to play with a pal.
18. Overcooked 2 (PS4)
The first game laid down rock solid foundations, and Overcooked 2 builds upon them to offer one of the best multiplayer experiences on PS4. It introduces the ability to throw and catch items, online play, and of course, plenty more chaotic levels to enjoy. The whole thing is a recipe for madness as you and your friends aim to coordinate in tightly designed kitchens to get out the right orders. A highly entertaining co-op game for all ages.
17. Minecraft (PS4)
Arguably one of the most culturally significant releases of modern times, Minecraft is up there with Super Mario and Space Invaders in terms of its impact on the industry. It also happens to be an absolutely superb game that’s ever-expanding thanks to Mojang’s live service model, which sees new content packs and gameplay mechanics added relatively regularly. With the boundless creative energy of LEGO and a genuinely engaging survival core, this is a title that can be almost whatever you want it to be, which helps underline its overall longevity.
16. Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition (PS4)
Developer Drinkbox Studios struck gold with Guacamelee, a side-scrolling Metroidvania with a comical Mexican wrapper. The Super Turbo Championship Edition is that same great game along with all its DLC bundled in and some extra content for good measure. Playing as Juan, you explore a vibrant, interconnected world that slowly opens up as you earn new abilities. These luchador powers double up as combat and traversal mechanics, with the game leaning into fights and exploration equally. It's great fun solo, but you can also play with up to three friends in co-op, which adds to the colourful chaos.

Another coop game someone recommended to me was Think of the Children. I've downloaded it but have yet to play it. It looks pretty funny though
Good list. So little decent couch co-op out there these days. Unfortunate.
I don't understand how Alienation, my absolute favorite couch co-op of all times does not make top-25. I know that it's all subjective, but no matter which other co-op games me and my friend try, we always find our way back to Alienation.
Resident Evil 5 not being on here is a damn shame.
I also can recommend Unravel 2 and Stardew Valley. My GF doesn't play video games very often, but she enjoyed those games a lot.
Sackboy is the best co op experience I've had in a while. I played on PS5, but obviously it's available on PS4. A Way Out is up there.
As far as online co op for a PS4 game, I'm going to say Alienation was some of the best co op of the generation. Helldivers was also quite enjoyable.

My 3 favorite co-op games on PS4 are Remnant: From the Ashes, Killing Floor 2, and Sons of the Forest.

GTA V Can hold up to 30 players in one lobby
Uhhh...Why are Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy on a list of Co-op games?
Diablo 2 should be in there. Probably even in the top 5. Diablo 4 will certainly deserve the spot when it's out. Monster Hunter World should be higher and MH Rise should be there. Bloodborne is not so easy to play or to get a co-op experience going so it should be much lower.
